STEM Pathways Manager

Sociedad Latina is looking for a STEM Program manager that will oversee Sociedad Latina’s pipeline of year round STEM programming for English Learners in Boston Public Schools. This pipeline of programming begins at STEAM Team, our 21st Century Community Learning Centers, located at the James P. Timilty Middle School and the Mario Umana Academy for grades 6-8. The manager will be in charge of relationships, overseeing program design and implementation, data and accountability, and supervising 3 program coordinators.

STEAM Team Program Coordinator

Sociedad Latina is looking for a Program Coordinator who will work in partnership with youth and families to develop Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) programming to students in grades 6-8 in an afterschool setting. The STEAM Team Program Coordinator will work with Sociedad Latina partners, middle school staff, and volunteers to implement quality academic and enrichment programming to participants.

This position is a 30/hour a week position with a rate of $20/ hour.

School-based Instructor

Sociedad Latina is looking for a creative, organized professional with youth development and college and career readiness programming experience.

The school-based instructor will work with the Program Coordinator to plan lessons, team-building and enrichment activities, and lead classes of 15-20 students to develop the necessary skills for postsecondary success, at various high schools in Boston.

2 Teachers for Escalera (Saturdays)

Sociedad Latina is looking for an ESL-certified teacher to deliver instruction with our Escalera college and career readiness curriculum and supplement language acquisition to a cohort of up to 20 English Language Learners on Saturdays, at the Wentworth Institute of Technology.

The position is 5 hours a week, including time for planning and biweekly staff meetings.
