Youth Artists Mastery: Our year-round and summer program engages young people, ages 14-18, in our pathway to music mastery that also supports academic and personal growth. Intensive instruction is offered in guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocals, and they learn music theory, practice instrument skills, compose original songs, play in ensembles, record a full-length album, and perform across the city.Additionally, our Youth Artists hosts monthly open mic events for our community. Our youth earn high school credit through BPS Arts Expansion Initiative.

Community Classes: Our Saturday Music Classes engage community youth, ages 8-18, through small group instrument instruction and dance instruction in school-based. Instructors are Sociedad Latina staff, alumni Youth Artists, and college work-study students from Berklee College of Music.

Viva La Cultura!: Sociedad Latina hosts year-round arts & cultural events for our community members to explore and celebrate diverse Latine cultural traditions, including open mic nights and ensemble performances that are free and open to the public. Annual arts and cultural events also include “Viva Nuestra Cultura” and Viva! Summer Nights at One Brigham Circle. These events are supported by partnerships with Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Berklee College of Music, and the Museum of Fine Arts.
