AmeriCorps Massachusetts Promise Fellow

Sociedad Latina is seeking a dynamic AmeriCorps Fellow who has experience working with high school-aged youth of color in urban settings to coordinate our college access youth programming. Our college access programming provides our high school Youth Leaders with academic support, including individualized sessions provided by Boston Public School teachers and tutoring to ensure on-time grade promotion and high school diploma graduation. Our college access programming also provides college and career support to high school youth transitioning into their post-secondary education or career of interest.

Youth Development Specialist - College Access and Success

Sociedad Latina is seeking a dynamic Youth Development Specialist who has experience working with high school and undergraduate youth of color in urban settings to coordinate our College Access and Success programming. Our College Access program provides our high school Youth Leaders academic support and tutoring to ensure on-time grade promotion and earn their high school diploma or equivalent. Our College Success program also provides college and career support to high school youth transitioning from high school into their post-secondary education or career of interest. Youth Leader alumni will receive college and career mentoring for one-year post high school.

Mission Hill Healthy Neighborhood Coalition Coordinator

The Coordinator is a newly-created, full-time, grant-funded position. The Coordinator will report to the MHHNC Steering Committee, made up by leaders from Sociedad Latina, Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services, and Tobin Community Center.

The Coordinator will work with partner organizations and residents to educate the community about the initiative, conduct outreach, plan and carry out events, and support the Youth and Senior Advisory Council that will help oversee the initiative.
