Development Associate

The Development Associate assists with implementing all aspects of Sociedad Latina’s fundraising and marketing plans, including grant writing, reporting, marketing, media (including social media), individual donors, appeals, events, and other tasks as assigned. The Development Associate reports directly to the Development Manager and works closely with Sociedad Latina staff, including our Executive Director.

College and Career Pathways Manager

The College and Career Pathways manager will oversee Sociedad Latina’s pipeline of year round college & career programming for English Learners in Boston Public Schools. Sociedad Latina’s programming operates during the school day, afterschool, Saturdays, and summer. The goal of Sociedad Latina’s College and Career pathways programming is to develop an early college going identity in Spanish speaking immigrant youth, provide high quality work based learning opportunities through internships, and culturally responsive college access and completion coaching. Our pipeline of college and career programming begins in the 8th grade and continues to the second year of college or career.

AmeriCorps Ambassadors of Mentoring Program | Sociedad Latina: Mentores en Acción Coordinator

The goal of our Mentores en Acción program is to support Latino youth through high school and prepare them for college and workplace success. We achieve this goal by pairing youth with Success Mentors who provide personal, academic, and career exploration support in 9th-12th grades and in the first year of college. In 2019-20, the Ambassador of Mentoring will capitalize on these efforts by maintaining current matches and recruiting a greater number of young professional mentors of color to support our Escalera college and career readiness programming.

Youth Ambassador

Join Sociedad Latina’s Capital Campaign Youth Advisory to support Sociedad Latina during the capital campaign. It will include several “Youth Ambassadors” who care deeply about the organization, are excited about the planned renovations, and want to help make the capital campaign a success. Must be a Sociedad Latina Alumni.

Academy Of Latinos Achieving Success: Post-Secondary Success Coach

Sociedad Latina is looking for a Post-Secondary Success Coach who supports a cohort of 55-60 immigrant students and English Learners through both individualized case management, cohort activities, and as needed classroom instruction. The Post-secondary Success coach is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the Boston Public Schools, Higher Education partners, and the Success Boston network.
